Collaborating in the Collective

Both/And in Motion

Designing a way to embody the Seven Touchpoints of InsideOut Creativity was a creative challenge in itself. The question was – How could we bring abstract art, dance, music and videography together to tell the story of InsideOut Creativity in a way that was visual, auditory, sensory, emotive and inspiring – and accessible to all people of all ages?

Through our mutual connection, Tam Swifte, I was introduced to the creative mastery of dance artist, choreographer and educator Natalie Marie Cunzolo. As the creative process evolved from ideation through development to the final expression of our shared work, we could never have predicted the depth and beauty that would emerge.

It is a joy to collaborate with others who share a passion for authentic, embodied creativity and who understand the power of artistic practice as a way to show that learning and knowledge live within all of us.

InsideOut Creativity is an effective and affective way to embody our collective creativity, no matter who we are or how we see the world – from the insideout.

Born and raised in the Illawarra South Coast region, Natalie is a dance artist, choreographer and educator trained broadly across styles. Her formative training began locally prior to commencing at Ev & Bow Full Time Dance Training Centre. She later became a member of Austi Dance & Physical Theatre, where she performed and collaborated with local, national and international choreographers across Australia and Europe. Since that time, Natalie has contributed to various independent contemporary dance projects in Sydney, Australia.

Driven by a strong desire to nurture dancers at every stage of their journey, Natalie holds teacher registration with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and works as a teaching artist with Sydney Dance Company’s education team. Through this role, she delivers workshops throughout Sydney and on tour across Australia, as well as teaching within the company’s Open Class Program. She also teaches freelance with the Arts Unit (Department of Education), and in a variety of school and studio settings across NSW.

Natalie’s creative practice and teaching are deeply shaped by her international experiences and a commitment to connection, authenticity and lifelong love of movement. She aims to continue exploring dance as an educational tool to aid learning in diverse individuals, using movement to support creativity, engagement and holistic development.
